Lt Gen Devendra Sharma, PVSM, AVSM, SM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Army Training Command (ARTRAC), visited the Cadets Training Wing of the Military College of Telecommunication Engineering (MCTE) on 27 February 2026.

During the visit, the Army Commander reviewed ongoing training activities and assessed the progressive induction of scientifically designed physical conditioning methodologies aimed at enhancing cadets’ combat readiness. The initiatives are structured to build endurance, agility and resilience in line with the demands of modern military operations.
Lt Gen Sharma was also briefed at the ‘Ananta’ Memorial and Motivation Hall, where he was apprised of the institution’s legacy and its role in inspiring future leaders.

The Army Commander interacted with officer cadets from friendly foreign countries including Vietnam, Bhutan, Myanmar and Tanzania, reaffirming India’s commitment to defence cooperation and capacity building through military training exchanges.
Commending the Cadets Training Wing for its high standards and forward-looking approach, he underscored the importance of holistic training in shaping competent, resilient and mission-ready officers for the future battlefield.
