A 28-member officer delegation from the War High College, Tamentfoust visited Headquarters Southern Command and interacted with Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Command.
The interaction focused on strengthening India–Algeria defence cooperation, expanding avenues for military exchanges, and enhancing engagement in professional military education. Discussions highlighted opportunities for deeper institutional collaboration and experience sharing between the two armed forces.

During the visit, the delegation was briefed on the ethos of the Indian Army rooted in honour, duty, and valour, as well as Southern Command’s diverse operational environment. Presentations covered a wide spectrum of activities, including nation-building initiatives, Military–Civil Fusion, and Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief operations, aligned with India’s broader national objectives.

The interaction reaffirmed the shared commitment of the Indian Army and the Algerian Armed Forces to strengthen defence ties and deepen cooperation through sustained professional engagement and mutual understanding.
