Lt Gen Pratik Sharma, Army Commander Northern Command, delivered the keynote address on โOp SINDOOR โ Medical Implicationsโ on the inaugural day of ARMEDiCON 2026 at the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune. During his visit to the premier medical training institution, the Army Commander toured various state-of-the-art facilities, including the Containerized Mobile Operation Theatre, which reflects the Armed Forcesโ growing focus on deployable, mission-oriented medical infrastructure to support operations in diverse and challenging environments.

Lt Gen Pratik Sharma commended the Armed Forces medical fraternity for their outstanding contribution in the delivery of medical services during Operation SINDOOR. He highlighted the exemplary professionalism, resilience, and preparedness demonstrated by medical personnel under demanding operational conditions.

The Army Commander noted that the high standards of operational readiness displayed during Op SINDOOR reaffirm the critical role of military medicine as a combat enabler. He emphasised that timely medical response, innovation in trauma care, and forward-deployed medical capabilities remain central to sustaining combat effectiveness and saving lives on the battlefield.
