Major General PK Tiwari, MGASC, Headquarters Central Command, inaugurated the modernised Fresh Ration Issue Shed at Meerut Feeders, marking a significant step forward in the Indian Army’s ongoing logistics transformation and supply chain modernisation.
The upgraded facility incorporates advanced storage infrastructure, scientific handling practices and streamlined distribution mechanisms. These enhancements ensure strict adherence to quality control and hygiene standards while improving efficiency, accountability and transparency across the ration supply process.
Designed to optimise operational workflows, the modernised shed enables faster and more reliable provisioning of fresh rations to troops. The improved systems reduce wastage, enhance traceability and support sustained logistics operations across formations under Central Command.
