The Combat Leadership Course at the NCO Academy, Dhana culminated on 7 February 2026, marking the successful completion of an intensive training programme for Non-Commissioned Officers of the Indian Army.
The course was conducted through a specialised and contemporary curriculum, designed to prepare NCOs for leadership roles in a technology-driven battlefield environment. Training focused on developing operational acumen in counter-drone tactics, modern combat leadership, and adaptive decision-making required for future conflicts.

Addressing the course participants, Lalit Sharma, Brigadier, Shaurya Chakra and Sena Medal, Commandant of the NCO Academy, shared valuable insights on the Indian Armyโs Decade of Transformation and the impact of neighbourhood unrest on Indiaโs security environment. He emphasised the critical role of junior leaders in translating strategic vision into effective action on the ground.
At the conclusion of the course, Naik Abhishek Dev of the Rajput Regiment was adjudged the Overall Best Student, in recognition of his outstanding performance, leadership qualities and professional competence throughout the training.
The successful conduct of the course reaffirmed the NCO Academyโs commitment to shaping confident, technologically aware and combat-ready junior leaders, capable of meeting the evolving operational challenges faced by the Indian Army.
