The Indian Military Academy (IMA) conducted Exercise Parvat Raksha from 24 to 28 February 2026, focusing on operations in attack and defence in mountainous terrain.

The intensive field exercise was designed to strengthen tactical acumen, physical endurance and operational adaptability in challenging high-altitude environments. Officer Cadets practised coordinated offensive and defensive drills, terrain exploitation, movement under load and mission-oriented planning tailored to mountain warfare scenarios.

The exercise culminated in a demanding 30-kilometre runback, rigorously testing the endurance, mental toughness and combat resilience of the participants.

Ex Parvat Raksha reaffirmed IMA’s commitment to preparing future officers for the complexities of mountain operations, instilling in them the grit, leadership and operational readiness required to serve in some of the most demanding terrains.
