Albert Ekka Brigade of the Red Shield Division, under the aegis of Spear Corps, successfully organised a State-Level Mega Ex-Servicemen Rally at Agartala Military Station on 2 March 2026.
The rally witnessed enthusiastic participation of over 1,500 veterans and Veer Naris from all eight districts of Tripura, reaffirming the Indian Army’s steadfast commitment to the welfare and well-being of its veteran community.

The event was graced by Shri Indrasena Reddy Nallu, Hon’ble Governor of Tripura, as the Chief Guest. Senior military and civil dignitaries, including Lieutenant General Abhijit S Pendharkar, UYSM, AVSM, SM, General Officer Commanding Spear Corps, were also present. Veterans and Veer Naris were felicitated in recognition of their dedicated service and supreme sacrifice in the service of the nation.
A wide range of facilitation stalls were set up to address welfare needs, including assistance for ECHS, SPARSH pension support, Aadhaar services, banking support for defence veterans and on-the-spot medical consultations with distribution of medicines.

In addition, a “Know Your Army” display showcased the ethos, operational capabilities, modern equipment and career opportunities in the Indian Army, fostering greater military-civil connect and inspiring NCC cadets and youth of the region.
The rally concluded with vibrant cultural performances celebrating the rich heritage of Tripura, further strengthening the enduring bond between the Armed Forces and the people of the state.
