The CMOs Conclave was held at Naval Headquarters on 16 March 2026, chaired by Surgeon Vice Admiral Kavita Sahai, Director General Medical Services (Navy).
The conclave brought together senior medical officers of the Indian Navy to deliberate on key issues related to the delivery of healthcare services across naval establishments.
Focus on Digitisation of Healthcare
During the discussions, special emphasis was laid on the increased digitisation of medical processes to enhance efficiency, accessibility and quality of healthcare for naval personnel.
A key highlight of the conclave was the focus on the pan-Navy implementation of NHIMS (Naval Health Information Management System) version 3.0, which aims to streamline medical records, improve patient care and enable real-time health data management across the service.

Strengthening Medical Support Systems
The conclave underscored the Indian Navy’s commitment to modernising its healthcare infrastructure and adopting advanced digital solutions to ensure timely, efficient and high-quality medical support for personnel and their families.
The initiative marks a significant step towards technology-driven healthcare delivery within the armed forces.
