Focus on Sea Lines of Communication
The Navy Chief underscored the critical importance of safeguarding Sea Lines of Communication (SLOCs) to ensure the uninterrupted flow of energy supplies, trade, and global commerce, which are vital to India’s economic and strategic interests.
He reaffirmed the Indian Navy’s proactive role in securing vital shipping routes, especially in the increasingly contested Indo-Pacific region.

Evolving Threat Landscape
Admiral Tripathi emphasised the changing nature of modern warfare, noting the growing use of emerging technologies, including unmanned systems, cyber capabilities, and space-based assets.
He highlighted the need for enhanced preparedness and adaptability to effectively respond to these evolving threats.

Call for Greater Jointness
The CNS stressed that addressing contemporary security challenges requires greater synergy among the Army, Navy, and Air Force, which will be further strengthened through the implementation of theaterisation reforms.
