Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Northern Command, visited hinterland formations and units in North Kashmir to assess operational readiness and the prevailing security situation.
During the visit, the Army Commander was briefed on ground realities and ongoing operations in the region. Discussions focused on enhancing inter-agency synergy among the Army, intelligence agencies, and other security forces to effectively counter threats and maintain stability.

Lt Gen Sharma also interacted with troops deployed in the area, commending them for their dedication, professionalism, and unwavering commitment towards keeping the region free from terrorism.

He appreciated the sustained efforts of the forces in ensuring peace and stability in North Kashmir, despite challenging operational conditions.

The visit highlights the Indian Army’s continued emphasis on counter-terror operations, coordination among multiple agencies, and maintaining a robust security grid in Jammu and Kashmir.
