Air Commodore Kamal Chadha officially assumed charge as the Deputy Director General (DDG) of the NCC Directorate Karnataka and Goa during a formal handing-over ceremony held at the Directorate Headquarters in Bengaluru on May 18, 2026.
Prior to this appointment, Air Commodore Chadha served as Air Officer Commanding of the Air Force Component at Headquarters Andaman and Nicobar Command in Port Blair.
A senior officer of the Indian Air Force, Air Commodore Chadha brings extensive operational and leadership experience, having held several key appointments during his distinguished military career.

After taking over command, the officer appreciated the consistently high performance of the NCC Directorate Karnataka and Goa and acknowledged its contribution towards youth development and nation-building.
The Directorate has recently achieved notable success at national-level competitions, including the prestigious Republic Day Camp (RDC) and several All India Centrally Organised Camps.
The appointment is expected to further strengthen the Directorate’s focus on leadership training, discipline, and holistic development of cadets across Karnataka and Goa.
