Shri Amol V Homkar, IPS, Inspector General of the Central Reserve Police Force Jammu Sector, visited Gambhir Mughlan in Rajouri district on May 25–26 to review the progress of Operation Sheruwali and assess the prevailing security situation in the area.
During the visit, the senior officer interacted with representatives of the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and the Intelligence Bureau to review ongoing operational efforts and strengthen inter-agency coordination.
The operational review focused on maintaining a high level of preparedness, enhancing information sharing, and ensuring seamless cooperation among security agencies engaged in counter-terrorism operations in the region.
IG Homkar also interacted with troops deployed in the area and commended their dedication, professionalism, and commitment while operating in challenging terrain and demanding conditions.
Motivating the personnel, he emphasised the importance of mission focus, teamwork, and sustained vigilance in achieving operational objectives and maintaining peace and security in the region.
Officials stated that the visit reaffirmed the commitment of security forces to maintaining close coordination and operational synergy in support of ongoing counter-insurgency and counter-terrorism efforts in the Jammu region.
