Lieutenant General Girish Kalia, General Officer Commanding of the Spear Corps, visited Assam Rifles formations deployed at Churachandpur and Pallel in Manipur to assess the security situation and operational preparedness.

During the visit, the Corps Commander reviewed key aspects of security arrangements and interacted with personnel deployed on ground. He commended the troops for their professionalism, dedication, and sustained readiness in maintaining stability in the region.

Lt Gen Kalia also engaged with local youth at the ‘Kinepna Center’ and the Community Radio Center, encouraging them to contribute actively towards nation-building and development. His interaction aimed at strengthening civil-military connect and fostering positive engagement with the local community.

The visit highlighted the Indian Army and Assam Rifles’ continued efforts to ensure peace, security, and inclusive development in the region through coordinated operations and community outreach initiatives.
