Lieutenant General Neeraj Shukla, General Officer Commanding of the Gajraj Corps, interacted with Dr. P K Satyawali, Scientist ‘H’ at the Defence Geoinformatics Research Establishment (DGRE), during a visit to Tezpur in Assam.
During the interaction, scientists from Defence Geoinformatics Research Establishment (DGRE) briefed the Corps Commander on advanced research in weather and avalanche forecasting systems, as well as mobility support technologies designed to enhance operational effectiveness in the challenging terrain of the Eastern Himalayas.

The DGRE team also showcased innovations in landslide mitigation and specialised engineering solutions aimed at supporting high-altitude military operations, where terrain and weather conditions pose significant challenges.

Lt Gen Shukla commended the DGRE scientists for their contributions and technological innovations, highlighting their critical role in strengthening operational capability and supporting national security.
The interaction underscored the growing synergy between the Indian Army and defence research institutions in developing cutting-edge solutions for modern warfare and difficult terrain operations.
