The Tri-Services Anti-RPAS Course conducted at the Army Air Defence College, Gopalpur, concluded on May 12, 2026.
The course was attended by personnel from the Indian Army, Indian Navy, and the Nepal Army, reflecting growing emphasis on joint training and regional defence cooperation.
The training programme aimed to equip nominated personnel from the tri-services with operational knowledge and practical skills related to Anti-Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (Anti-RPAS), including detection, identification, recognition, and countermeasures against unmanned aerial threats.
The course focused on enhancing interoperability, jointness, and coordinated operational responses to evolving drone and unmanned systems challenges in modern warfare scenarios.
Lieutenant Shradhey Thakur was adjudged the Best Student for his outstanding overall performance during the course.
The programme highlighted the increasing importance of integrated anti-drone capabilities and collaborative training frameworks in strengthening India’s preparedness against emerging aerial threats.
