Surgeon Vice Admiral Vivek Hande, Director General (Organisation & Personnel), Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS), visited medical units under Headquarters 10 RAPID (H) on May 10, 2026, to review operational capabilities and healthcare infrastructure in remote operational areas.
During the visit, the Flag Officer was briefed on the medical units’ operational readiness, infrastructure, and the quality patient care being provided under challenging terrain and field conditions. He also inspected various medical facilities and support infrastructure established in the region.

Surg Vice Admiral Hande interacted with troops, patients, and medical personnel, appreciating their dedication and professionalism. Addressing the medical teams, he stressed the importance of combining advanced medical technology with compassion and professional excellence to ensure world-class patient care for soldiers and their families.

He commended the units for their cohesive functioning, high morale, and unwavering readiness to deliver effective combat medical support across diverse operational environments.
