A total of 3,366 Agniveers successfully passed out from the Army Service Corps (ASC) Centre (North) on 20 June 2026 after completing 24 weeks of rigorous military training.
The Passing Out Parade (POP), held with military precision and ceremonial grandeur, marked the transformation of the recruits into disciplined and mission-ready soldiers of the Indian Army.

The parade was reviewed by Brigadier Vikram Shekhawat, SM, Commandant, ASC Centre (North), who inspected the contingent and congratulated the Agniveers on successfully completing their training.
A key highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of the prestigious Lanyard Awards and Gaurav Padaks. While the Lanyards recognised outstanding performance and excellence during training, the Gaurav Padaks were presented to proud parents in acknowledgement of their invaluable contribution towards nation-building and for supporting their children in choosing a life of service to the nation.

Over the course of 24 weeks, the Agniveers underwent intensive military training covering physical fitness, weapon handling, fieldcraft, military discipline, leadership development and professional skills essential for service in the Indian Army.
Addressing the newly inducted soldiers, Brig Shekhawat commended them for their dedication, perseverance and commitment throughout the demanding training period. He encouraged them to uphold the highest traditions of the Indian Army and the Army Service Corps while serving the nation with honour, integrity and professionalism.

The ceremony witnessed an atmosphere of pride and celebration as family members, instructors and military personnel gathered to witness the successful culmination of the recruits’ training journey.
Officials noted that the passing out of 3,366 Agniveers represents another important milestone in strengthening the Indian Army’s future-ready workforce, capable of meeting evolving operational and logistical challenges.
As the young soldiers step forward into active service, they carry with them the values of duty, discipline and selfless service, ready to contribute to the defence and security of the nation.
The event concluded with a renewed sense of pride and patriotism, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the lives of the Agniveers as they embark on their journey in service of the Motherland.
