In a remarkable display of humanitarian assistance and inter-agency coordination, the Red Shield Division of the Indian Army, operating under the Spear Corps, successfully evacuated a seriously injured civilian from a remote village in Manipur’s Kangpokpi district.
The evacuation operation was carried out in close coordination with the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the Manipur Police to ensure the injured individual received urgent medical attention.

Despite adverse weather conditions and challenging terrain, troops navigated difficult routes to reach the remote location and safely evacuate the civilian. Their swift response and determination enabled the injured person to receive timely life-saving treatment.
Officials stated that the operation highlighted the commitment of security forces to the welfare and safety of local communities, particularly in remote and inaccessible areas where access to emergency medical assistance can be challenging.

The successful evacuation underscores the strong coordination between the Indian Army, CRPF and Manipur Police in responding to emergencies and providing humanitarian assistance alongside their operational responsibilities.
The Red Shield Division was commended for its professionalism, dedication and readiness to assist civilians in distress, reaffirming the Armed Forces’ commitment to serving the people in times of need.
