Lieutenant General D.G. Misra, AVSM, General Officer Commanding (GOC), Uttar Bharat Area, visited Kausani Military Station to review the operational preparedness and overall readiness of the formation.
During the visit, the General Officer was briefed on the prevailing operational environment, force capabilities and measures undertaken to maintain a high level of readiness. The briefing also highlighted the integration of advanced technologies, induction of next-generation equipment and the adoption of innovative indigenous solutions developed by troops to enhance operational effectiveness.

Lt Gen Misra reviewed the formation’s efforts to leverage technology-driven initiatives aimed at improving surveillance, mobility, logistics and overall mission capability. Special emphasis was placed on the development and deployment of indigenous innovations designed to address operational requirements in diverse and challenging environments.
Interacting with officers and troops, the GOC appreciated the professionalism, dedication and ingenuity displayed by the personnel. He commended their commitment to embracing innovation and modernisation while maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence.

The Army Commander emphasised the importance of continuous capability enhancement, technological adaptation and self-reliance in strengthening the Indian Army’s preparedness to meet evolving security challenges.
Officials noted that the visit reaffirmed Uttar Bharat Area’s focus on operational readiness, indigenous innovation and force modernisation in line with the Indian Army’s transformation roadmap.
The interaction also served as a morale booster for the troops, recognising their efforts in developing practical field solutions and maintaining a high state of combat readiness.
