Lieutenant General Madanraj Pande, General Officer Commanding (GOC), Fire & Fury Corps, visited the Demchok Sector on 9 July 2026 to review operational preparedness and combat readiness along the strategically important frontier.
During the visit, the Corps Commander received briefings on the prevailing operational situation and assessed the preparedness of troops deployed in the challenging high-altitude terrain.

Lt Gen Pande also interacted with soldiers serving in the forward areas and commended them for their exemplary professionalism, steadfast resolve and unwavering commitment while operating under demanding climatic and operational conditions.

He exhorted all ranks to maintain the highest standards of vigilance, operational readiness and combat effectiveness, reaffirming the Indian Army’s commitment to safeguarding the nation’s borders under all circumstances.
