Officers Training Academy (OTA), Gaya organised a motivational guest lecture on 12 August 2026 by Colonel Namrata Rathore, VSM, focusing on her experience of the Mount Everest Expedition and the lessons it offers in leadership, resilience and mission accomplishment.
Drawing from her experience of summiting Mount Everest, Col Namrata Rathore shared insights into the physical and mental challenges associated with high-altitude mountaineering. She highlighted how determination, preparation and the ability to remain focused under pressure are crucial when operating in demanding environments.
During the lecture, she emphasised the importance of leadership in challenging situations. She explained that effective leaders must demonstrate confidence, remain composed in difficult circumstances and inspire their teams to continue working towards their objectives despite adversity.

Motivation and willpower were also central themes of the interaction. The Everest experience provided an example of how sustained determination and self-belief can help individuals overcome obstacles that may initially appear insurmountable.
The session encouraged the officers to develop a strong sense of commitment towards their assigned missions. Col Namrata Rathore urged them to approach challenges with confidence and perseverance while maintaining professional standards and a clear focus on their objectives.
