Logistics constitutes a critical component of military effectiveness, enabling formations to sustain personnel, equipment and other operational requirements across challenging environments. Training officers in operational logistics therefore forms an important element of professional military education.

The course’s focus on niche technologies also reflected the growing importance of technological capabilities in modern warfare. Integrating technological awareness with conventional military tactics and logistics enables officers to better understand the changing requirements of operations across multiple domains.

The participation of five officers from Sri Lanka and Nepal added an international dimension to the course. Such professional training engagements provide opportunities for officers from friendly foreign countries to exchange experiences and gain insights into military practices and operational approaches.

The valedictory ceremony marked the formal conclusion of the course. Major General Mohit Mahendroo, Deputy Commandant and Chief Instructor, ASC Centre & College, delivered the Valedictory Address and felicitated the achievers.

The conclusion of the Young Officers Course highlighted the role of ASC Centre & College in developing professionally capable officers with an understanding of military tactics, logistics and emerging technologies. The combination of these areas is particularly relevant to sustaining military operations across diverse terrains and increasingly complex operational environments.

The participation of officers from Sri Lanka and Nepal also reinforced the role of professional military education in strengthening interaction and cooperation between the armed forces of friendly countries.

With the valedictory ceremony and felicitation of achievers, the Young Officers Course concluded after providing participants with specialised exposure to tactics, technology and logistics support for contemporary military operations.
