The Indian Army’s 1 Signal Training Centre is strengthening technology-driven military training through specialised laboratories dedicated to Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), cyber technologies and drones, providing soldiers with hands-on exposure to emerging technologies and their potential battlefield applications.
The initiative, undertaken under the aegis of Central Command, is aimed at developing the technical capabilities of troops as modern military operations become increasingly dependent on digital systems, autonomous platforms, communications networks and other advanced technologies.
Specialised AI, IoT, Cyber and Drone Labs at the training centre provide soldiers with an environment where they can learn, experiment and develop practical solutions rather than limiting their exposure to theoretical instruction.
