Vice Admiral Anil Jaggi, AVSM, Commandant of the National Defence Academy (NDA), visited the Mechanised Infantry Centre and School (MIC&S) at Ahilyanagar to gain first-hand insights into modern mechanised warfare, emerging technologies and evolving military training methodologies.
During the visit, Vice Admiral Jaggi was briefed on contemporary mechanised operations and the changing nature of warfare. The interaction highlighted how modern technologies and advanced training methods are increasingly shaping the operational capabilities of mechanised forces.
The visit also provided an opportunity to understand niche technologies being integrated into mechanised operations and the training systems being adopted to prepare personnel for future battlefield requirements.
With warfare rapidly evolving through greater use of technology, mobility, information systems and integrated operations, exposure to such capabilities is important for preparing future military leaders for increasingly complex operational environments.
The visit reinforced the importance of connecting the training of future officers at the National Defence Academy with developments taking place across different arms and services of the Armed Forces.
The engagement at MIC&S underlined the broader objective of developing future-ready military leaders who understand the changing contours of mechanised warfare and are prepared to operate effectively in technology-driven battlefields.
