The Indian Army’s Shatrujeet Brigade hosted 34 cadets from the Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC), Dehradun, for an educational and cultural expedition aimed at inspiring young minds and nurturing future military leaders.
During the visit, the RIMC cadets were given an opportunity to gain a closer understanding of the proud legacy, military ethos and operational capabilities of the elite Airborne Brigade.
The programme included interactions with Army personnel, detailed briefings and exposure to modern military equipment and specialised capabilities. The experience offered the young cadets an insight into the discipline, courage, professionalism and commitment that form an integral part of service in the Indian Army.
The expedition was also designed to familiarise the students with the traditions and demanding operational environment associated with airborne forces. Such exposure provides aspiring young leaders with an opportunity to understand military life beyond the classroom and witness the values of teamwork, leadership and dedication in practice.
Alongside the military exposure, the cadets explored the historical and cultural heritage of Agra. They visited prominent landmarks including the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri, giving them an opportunity to learn more about India’s rich history and architectural heritage.

By combining military orientation with cultural learning, the expedition sought to broaden the cadets’ outlook while strengthening leadership qualities, national integration and pride in service to the nation.

The visit by the 34 RIMC cadets reflected the Indian Army’s continued efforts to engage with young students and provide them with meaningful exposure to military traditions, professional values and the responsibilities associated with serving the country.
