Military Hospital Prayagraj organised a blood donation camp to commemorate 100 years of the Military Nursing Service (MNS), celebrating a century of courage, compassion and dedicated service to the nation.
The initiative reflected the enduring MNS motto, “Service with a Smile,” and highlighted the contribution of Military Nursing Service officers to the healthcare and well-being of Armed Forces personnel and their families.
The blood donation camp was inaugurated by Colonel Sulekha J, Principal Matron of Military Hospital Prayagraj, along with a team of Nursing Officers.
Healthcare personnel and voluntary donors participated in the camp, coming together to contribute blood and support patients in need. The initiative highlighted the values of selfless service, dedication and assistance that have remained central to the Military Nursing Service throughout its long history.

For a century, nursing officers of the Military Nursing Service have served across military hospitals and healthcare establishments, providing medical and nursing care during peace as well as demanding operational situations.

The centenary commemoration at Military Hospital Prayagraj served as a tribute to generations of nursing officers whose professionalism and compassion have contributed to military healthcare in India.
Marking “100 Years of Service,” the occasion celebrated the legacy of the Military Nursing Service and its continuing commitment to compassion, duty and “Service with a Smile.”
