Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, PVSM, AVSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Command, reviewed the operational preparedness of Konark Corps as part of Exercise Akhand Prahar, a large-scale field training exercise being conducted in the desert terrain.
The Army Commander witnessed Combined Arms manoeuvres showcasing the seamless coordination between the Indian Army and the Indian Air Force. The exercise demonstrated high levels of synergy across combat arms, support elements, and air assets—an essential component of modern, network-enabled warfare.

Lt Gen Seth observed the integration of next-generation technologies, including Drone and Counter-Drone systems, alongside refined Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) for enhanced battlefield effectiveness. The exercise also highlighted the adaptability of field formations in multi-domain scenarios, ensuring readiness for a wide spectrum of contingencies.

The Southern Command remains at the forefront of enhancing joint operational capabilities and driving innovation in tactics and technology. Exercise Akhand Prahar served as a critical validation of the Army’s Defence Preparedness, interoperability, and rapid response capability through integrated land–air operations.

Lt Gen Seth commended the professionalism, precision, and combat readiness of the troops, lauding their dedication to upholding the Indian Army’s core ethos of ‘Service Before Self’.
The exercise reaffirmed the Indian Army’s focus on operational synergy, technological infusion, and mission readiness across the multi-domain battlespace, underscoring India’s preparedness to respond effectively to emerging security challenges.
