In a significant advancement toward technology-driven military training, Lt Gen AVS Rathee, General Officer Commanding, Konark Corps, visited the newly established Konark Aeromodel Training Node under the aegis of the Blazing Skies Brigade. The facility marks a major leap in enhancing operational preparedness in line with the Armyโs vision for a Decade of Transformation.

Described as the first-of-its-kind initiative within the Corps, the Aeromodel Training Node aims to strengthen airspace orientation, target acquisition proficiency, and aerial threat assessment skills among troops. It also serves as a multi-domain training hub, enabling Konark Air Defence warriors to train soldiers from other arms, fostering wider battlefield integration.

Officials highlighted that the node reflects the unwavering commitment of Konark AD warriors toward mastering emerging technologies and improving combat readiness. The facility is expected to play a crucial role in preparing troops for future warfare environments where unmanned systems, aerial surveillance, and air defence coordination will be central to mission success.

The establishment of this specialised node reaffirms the Indian Armyโs drive to integrate innovation, simulation, and advanced training tools to shape a more agile, technologically empowered force.
