Lieutenant Commander Aayush Kishan of the Indian Navy has brought laurels to the nation by excelling in the Joint Senior Command and Staff Programme 24/2025 at the South African National War College, Pretoria. Competing among senior officers from several nations, he secured multiple top honours for his outstanding academic and professional performance.
Lt Cdr Kishan was awarded the trophy for Best Commandant’s Research Paper, recognising the depth, clarity, and strategic value of his work. He also achieved 2nd position for Best Overall International Student, reflecting his exceptional competence across all components of the course, and 3rd position for Best Commander’s Brief, highlighting his strong analytical and presentation skills.
His achievements underscore the Indian Navy’s emphasis on professional military education and its growing reputation in global military institutions. The recognition also reaffirms India’s commitment to fostering international defence cooperation through excellence in strategic studies.
