Major General Gaverdhan Singh, SM assumed charge as the Deputy Commandant and Chief Instructor of the Officers Training Academy (OTA), Gaya on 15 December, marking an important leadership transition at one of the Indian Army’s premier officer training institutions.
A seasoned and highly respected officer, Maj Gen Gaverdhan Singh brings with him extensive operational and instructional experience. In his new role, he will be responsible for overseeing training standards and shaping the professional, ethical, and leadership qualities of future officers of the Indian Army.

The appointment is expected to further strengthen the academy’s training ethos, with a continued emphasis on discipline, character-building, and operational readiness. As Chief Instructor, Maj Gen Singh will play a pivotal role in mentoring young gentlemen cadets as they prepare to assume leadership roles in the Army.
