Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, Army Commander Northern Command, visited Shahsitar in the Surankote sector to assess the operational readiness of units deployed for counter-terrorism duties.

During the visit, Lt Gen Pratik Sharma, reviewed the preparedness of troops and the effectiveness of ongoing counter-terrorism operations in the area. He emphasised the importance of remaining mission-ready to address emerging security challenges by leveraging technology and enhancing integration with other security agencies.
The Army Commander commended the troops for their high standards of professionalism, adaptability, and operational excellence. He noted that these qualities have been forged through rigorous, innovative training and sustained operational experience.

The visit reaffirmed the Indian Armyโs focus on maintaining robust counter-terrorism capabilities and ensuring seamless coordination to safeguard peace and security in sensitive areas.
