In an inspiring story of grit, patience, and unwavering faith, Lieutenant SDV Prasad Reddy has proven that true success belongs to those who refuse to give up. Commissioned into the Indian Army on 06 December 2025 from the Indian Military Academy, his journey stands as a beacon of motivation for defence aspirants across the country.
Lieutenant Reddy was enrolled in the Indian Army in 2005 and went on to render 20 years of dedicated service in the Corps of Signals. Hailing from a humble family in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, his early life was rooted in discipline, hard work, and a deep sense of duty values that would later shape his remarkable career.
His SSB journey began in 2015, a phase marked by repeated challenges, intense self-introspection, and invaluable learning. In his fifth attempt, he earned a recommendation only to fall short of the final merit list. For many, that moment could have ended the dream. But for Lt Reddy, it became a turning point.

Undeterred and resolute, he returned stronger in his sixth attempt for PC (SL) RO, where he was once again recommended this time successfully clearing the final merit list. Years of perseverance, resilience, and unwavering determination finally bore fruit.
Marching out of the hallowed portals of IMA as a commissioned Lieutenant, Lt SDV Prasad Reddyโs journey sends a powerful message to every aspirant: setbacks are not failures; they are lessons. His story reminds us that dreams delayed are not dreams denied so long as courage, consistency, and commitment remain steadfast.
