Lt Gen Anindya Sengupta, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Central Command, visited forward areas in the Kumaon Sector to review the operational preparedness of troops deployed along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) amid the challenging high-altitude Himalayan terrain.

During the visit, the Army Commander assessed the readiness of formations and units tasked with safeguarding the nationโs borders under extreme weather and terrain conditions. He was briefed on operational posture, surveillance measures, logistics preparedness, and force sustainment in the forward areas.

Lt Gen Sengupta lauded the troops for their unwavering vigilance, resilience, and professionalism, acknowledging their crucial role in maintaining peace and security along the LAC. Interacting with soldiers at forward posts, he commended their high morale, discipline, and combat readiness despite the demanding environment.
