Major General IS Gill, Chief of Staff, HQ Uttar Bharat Area, reviewed operational preparedness and critical infrastructure development in the Kumaon Sector during his visit to the Pithoragarh Military Station.

Interacting with troops on the ground, the senior officer reinforced a clear and unambiguous message—uncompromising readiness, rapid execution, and a mission-first approach. He commended the personnel for their professionalism and high levels of alertness while operating in challenging frontier terrain.

As part of the visit, Maj Gen Gill also interacted with Panchahul Pulse Community Radio, highlighting the Indian Army’s role in energising Border Area Tourism and strengthening engagement with frontier communities. The interaction underscored the Army’s commitment not only to national security but also to fostering socio-economic development and deeper civil-military connect in border regions.
