The Indian Air Force (IAF) will present a special aerial formation named “Sindoor” during the flypast at the Republic Day Parade 2026, highlighting India’s air power and the operational readiness of its frontline combat fleet.
According to officials, the Sindoor formation will comprise two Rafale fighter jets, two Su-30 aircraft, two MiG-29 fighters, and one Jaguar aircraft. These platforms were part of Operation Sindoor, making the formation a symbolic tribute to the IAF’s recent operational achievements.

The flypast is expected to be one of the key highlights of the Republic Day celebrations, reflecting the Indian Air Force’s capability to operate a diverse mix of advanced fighter aircraft in a coordinated and precise manner.
By showcasing the Sindoor formation, the IAF aims to underline its combat preparedness, technological strength, and ability to respond decisively to emerging threats, while reaffirming its role as a critical pillar of India’s national security architecture.
