Lieutenant General SS Dahiya, SM, VSM, Chief of Staff (COS), ARTRAC, visited the MCEME, Secunderabad, on January 28, 2026, to review the institution’s training framework and innovation-driven initiatives.

During the visit, Lt Gen Dahiya interacted with Lieutenant General Neeraj Varshney, AVSM, VSM, Commandant, MCEME and Colonel Commandant, Corps of EME, who briefed him on the college’s initiatives aligned with the Indian Army’s Decade of Transformation and HQ ARTRAC’s thrust on innovation, indigenisation and professional excellence.

The COS visited various faculties at MCEME and was briefed on advanced training methodologies, key indigenisation efforts and the latest strides made by the institution in establishing state-of-the-art training laboratories. These included dedicated facilities for Drones (Dronalaya), Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (Yantralaya), and Additive Manufacturing (Rachnalaya), reflecting the Army’s growing focus on emerging and disruptive technologies.

Lt Gen Dahiya also reviewed modern infrastructure supporting the sustenance, upgrade and innovation of weapon systems, aviation assets, electronic warfare equipment and communication technologies. He appreciated MCEME’s comprehensive approach to blending cutting-edge technology with hands-on technical training.

Commending the faculty and trainees, the COS highlighted MCEME’s pivotal role in nurturing future-ready technical leaders and reinforcing the Indian Army’s operational edge through innovation, self-reliance and excellence in military education.
