Shri Shashi Prakash Goyal, Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh, and Shri Rajeev Krishna, Director General of Police, Uttar Pradesh, visited the Smritika War Memorial and Headquarters Surya Command, underscoring the enduring strength of the Military–Civil partnership and a shared commitment to national security, governance support, and regional coordination.
During the visit, the Chief Secretary and the DGP interacted with Lt Gen Navin Sachdeva, Chief of Staff, Headquarters Central Command, along with other senior officers. The interaction highlighted the importance of close cooperation between the Armed Forces and the civil administration in ensuring seamless coordination across security, governance, and humanitarian domains.

Discussions at Smritika War Memorial focused on a joint project for a forthcoming Light and Sound Show, envisioned to enhance public engagement while honouring the enduring legacy and sacrifices of the nation’s Bravehearts. The initiative aims to deepen public awareness of military history and inspire a stronger connect between citizens and the Armed Forces.

Deliberations at Headquarters Surya Command centred on key areas of cooperation between the Armed Forces and the civil administration, including disaster response, infrastructure development, veteran welfare, and capacity building. The discussions underscored the necessity of cohesive and integrated functioning to address emerging challenges, strengthen operational preparedness, and reinforce institutional synergy.
The visit reaffirmed the shared resolve of the military and civil leadership to work in close partnership, ensuring robust coordination in support of national objectives and the collective wellbeing of society.
