Lieutenant General Anindya Sengupta, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C), Central Command, visited the India AI Summit in New Delhi, where he engaged with leading innovators, defence technologists and industry experts shaping the next generation of artificial intelligence capabilities.

During the visit, the Army Commander gained key insights into emerging AI-driven solutions spanning battlefield transparency, predictive logistics, autonomous systems, cyber defence and advanced decision-support frameworks. He interacted with domain specialists and explored potential collaborative avenues to harness niche and cutting-edge technologies for strengthening operational preparedness.

Lt Gen Sengupta emphasised the Indian Army’s strong commitment to rapid technology absorption and transformation into a future-ready force. He highlighted that artificial intelligence is increasingly emerging as a decisive force multiplier in modern warfare.

Underscoring AI’s role in enabling faster decision cycles, precision outcomes and integrated multi-domain operations, the Army Commander reiterated the need for close synergy between the Army, industry, academia and innovators to maintain operational advantage in an evolving security environment.
