Surg Vice Admiral Arti Sarin, Director General Armed Forces Medical Services (DGAFMS), visited Karwar and called on Rear Admiral Ravnish Seth, Admiral Superintendent, as part of her official engagement. The visit focused on assessing medical infrastructure and healthcare delivery mechanisms supporting naval personnel and their families in the region.
During her visit, the DGAFMS conducted a comprehensive review of the Dockyard Dispensary, INS Kadamba MI Room, and the Submarine Medical Centre. She was briefed on the operational capabilities, patient care protocols, and medical preparedness measures in place to cater to both routine and specialised healthcare requirements.

Appreciating the dedication and professionalism of the medical fraternity, Surg Vice Admiral Sarin lauded the Medical Officers, Medical Assistants, Patient Care Workers (PCW) and civilian support staff for their unwavering commitment to excellence in healthcare delivery. She highlighted the critical role played by medical teams in maintaining operational readiness by ensuring the well-being of personnel.

The visit also included an interactive session where the Flag Officer engaged with the medical staff, sharing valuable insights on positive healthcare practices and holistic well-being.
