Surgeon Vice Admiral Arti Sarin, Director General Armed Forces Medical Services (DGAFMS), visited the Karwar Naval Area where she called upon Rear Admiral Ravnish Seth, Admiral Superintendent, as part of her official engagements.

During the visit, the DGAFMS undertook a comprehensive review of medical facilities at the Dockyard Dispensary, INS Kadamba MI Room and the Submarine Medical Centre. She was briefed on patient care services, medical support to operational units and preventive healthcare initiatives being implemented at the naval base.

Interacting with Medical Officers, Medical Assistants, PCW workers and civilian support staff, Surg Vice Admiral Sarin lauded their professionalism, dedication and commitment to delivering high standards of healthcare. She appreciated the cohesive teamwork displayed across facilities in ensuring effective medical support to personnel.

The Flag Officer also engaged in meaningful discussions with medical teams, sharing valuable insights on positive healthcare practices and holistic well-being. Her visit reaffirmed the Armed Forces Medical Services’ commitment to enhancing healthcare delivery and sustaining operational readiness across naval establishments.
