The Junior Officer Cipher Course conducted at the Military College of Telecommunication Engineering (MCTE), Mhow, culminated on 28 February 2026, equipping officers with critical expertise in secure communications, encryption and cyber defence.
The course focused on enhancing understanding of military-grade encryption systems, protection of communication networks and countering evolving cyber threats in a dynamic operational environment. Through a blend of theoretical modules and practical training, participants gained essential skills to safeguard sensitive military information infrastructure.
Major General Gautam Mahajan, SM, Deputy Commandant and Chief Instructor (DCCI), MCTE, delivered the closing address and felicitated outstanding performers. He underscored the decisive importance of secure communication frameworks in ensuring operational superiority across contemporary battlefields.
Captain Sandeep Singh Rawat was adjudged the ‘Best Student’ of the course, reflecting outstanding technical proficiency, analytical acumen and professional excellence.
The successful completion of the course reaffirmed MCTE’s pivotal role in developing technology-enabled officers capable of securing and strengthening the Armed Forces’ communication and cyber defence architecture.
