General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), visited the Military College of Telecommunications and Engineering (MCTE) to review key initiatives driving advancements in defence technology and data-centric warfare within the Indian Army.
During the visit, the Army Chief toured the NFS Advanced Training Centre, a pan-India tri-services facility delivering high-tech, curriculum-driven training aligned with the strategic goals of Multi-Domain Operations and Network-Centric Warfare. The training framework is also in line with the Indian Army’s Year of Networking and Data Centricity initiative.

Gen Dwivedi also visited the Drone Training Node, where demonstrations showcased field-deployable artificial intelligence and drone-enabled solutions supporting the Army’s transition from voice-centric to data-centric operational systems under the vision of “Eagle on the Arm.”
Commending the officers, instructors and staff of the institute, the COAS lauded their pivotal role in shaping agile, technologically adept and future-ready warriors capable of operating effectively in evolving battlefield environments.
