The Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai organised the Presentation of Gaurav Padak ceremony on March 6, 2026, honouring the parents of Officer Cadets from the Passing Out Course in recognition of their contribution to the nation.

During the ceremony, Lieutenant General Michael A.J. Fernandez, PVSM, AVSM, VSM, Commandant of OTA Chennai, addressed the gathering and presented the “Gaurav Padak” to the proud parents of the cadets.

While interacting with the parents, Lt Gen Fernandez appreciated their role in instilling discipline, courage and a spirit of service in their children, which ultimately leads them to embrace the honourable profession of arms.
