Lieutenant General DS Kushwah, PVSM, AVSM, SM, General Officer Commanding Maharashtra, Gujarat and Goa (MG & G) Area, visited the Artillery Centre, Nashik, along with units at Nashik and Devlali, to review training and infrastructure development.
Focus on Training and Infrastructure
During the visit, the General Officer reviewed ongoing training, logistics, administrative installations and infrastructure projects, assessing overall operational efficiency.

Push for Tech-Infused Training
Lt Gen Kushwah emphasised the need for transformation in a compressed training environment, advocating:
- Data-based monitoring systems
- Increased use of AR/VR-enabled training aids
- Development of user-driven, modern administrative infrastructure

Strengthening Veteran and Healthcare Support
As part of the visit, he:
- Dedicated a Veterans Sahayata Kendra
- Inaugurated a pharmacy-cum-waiting lounge for Ex-Servicemen at ECHS Polyclinic
- Opened a family ward at Military Hospital, Devlali
These initiatives aim to enhance healthcare and support systems for serving personnel, veterans and their families.
