An Indian Army contingent has departed for Cambodia to participate in the second edition of the India–Cambodia Bilateral Military Exercise, CINBAX-II, scheduled to be held from May 4 to May 17, 2026.
The exercise will take place at the Techo Sen Phnom Thom Mreas Royal Cambodian Air Force Training Centre (Camp Basil) in Kampong Speu Province. It marks another important step in strengthening defence cooperation and interoperability between the two nations.
CINBAX-II 2026 will focus on company-level joint training aimed at enhancing coordination and operational effectiveness in sub-conventional environments. The training will involve tactical drills, joint planning, and execution of operations that simulate real-world counter-insurgency and counter-terrorism scenarios.
The exercise is expected to provide valuable opportunities for both sides to exchange best practices, improve mutual understanding, and build stronger military-to-military ties.
India and Cambodia share warm and friendly relations, and such joint exercises play a crucial role in enhancing defence collaboration while contributing to regional peace, stability, and security.
