A delegation comprising 16 trainee Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs), four instructors, and one officer from the Junior Leaders Wing, Belagavi, visited Headquarters Karnataka Naval Area (HQKNA) and the Karwar Naval Base from May 9 to 11, 2026.
During the visit, the delegation was briefed on key aspects of naval operations and Project Seabird, one of the Indian Navy’s largest infrastructure expansion initiatives aimed at strengthening maritime capabilities on the western coast.

The trainees also toured major naval facilities, including INS Vikramaditya and the Naval Ship Repair Yard, gaining first-hand exposure to aircraft carrier operations, maintenance systems, and naval logistics infrastructure.
The interaction provided valuable insights into maritime operations and highlighted the importance of inter-service cooperation in modern military operations.
The visit was described as an important step toward strengthening jointmanship, operational understanding, and camaraderie between the Indian Army and the Indian Navy.
