Lieutenant General Dinesh Singh Rana, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, SM, PhD, Commander-in-Chief of the Strategic Forces Command and Colonel of The Garhwal Rifles and Garhwal Scouts, inaugurated the “Integrated Veterans Welfare Arena” at the Records of The Garhwal Rifles.
The newly established state-of-the-art complex has been designed as a single-window facility to provide comprehensive welfare and pension-related services for veterans, Veer Naris, Veer Matas, next of kin, and dependents.
The facility brings multiple support services under one roof, including swift grievance redressal mechanisms, pension assistance, and dedicated welfare support systems aimed at ensuring convenience and dignity for former servicemen and their families.

The complex also includes an elegant waiting area, refreshment services, and café facilities to improve the overall experience for visitors.
Importantly, the welfare arena will also be accessible to retired personnel from other regiments whose Record Offices are located far away, thereby extending support to a wider veteran community.
The initiative reflects the Indian Army’s continued commitment towards the welfare, dignity, and well-being of veterans and their families in recognition of their service and sacrifice for the nation.
