On the occasion of the 82nd Raising Day of the Artificial Limb Centre (ALC), Pune, Surgeon Vice Admiral Arti Sarin, Director General of the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS), dedicated “Saksham” — a Holistic Mobility Clinic — to differently abled beneficiaries of the centre.
The event was attended by Surgeon Vice Admiral Anupam Kapur, DGHS (Armed Forces), Lieutenant General Pankaj P Rao, Director and Commandant of Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), and Surgeon Rear Admiral Rajat Shukla, ADG MR, Health and Training in the Office of DGAFMS.

The newly inaugurated “Saksham” clinic integrates multiple clinical rehabilitation processes under one roof and is equipped with modern technology and specialised medical staff aimed at improving mobility support, rehabilitation care, and treatment outcomes for beneficiaries.

Officials stated that the initiative would significantly enhance the rehabilitation experience for patients by providing comprehensive and patient-centric care through advanced equipment and integrated medical services.

The inauguration highlighted the continued commitment of the Armed Forces Medical Services towards improving rehabilitation infrastructure, specialised healthcare, and quality of life for differently abled service personnel and beneficiaries.
