The convocation ceremony of the historic 150th Course of the National Defence Academy (NDA) was held on May 29, 2026, with Dr Kiran Bedi, IPS (Retd.) and former Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, gracing the occasion as the Chief Guest.
The solemn ceremony was attended by parents and family members of the graduating cadets, who witnessed a proud milestone in the academic and military journey of their wards.

Addressing the cadets, Dr Bedi congratulated them on successfully completing one of the nation’s most rigorous and prestigious training programmes. She lauded their dedication, discipline, and perseverance in meeting the demanding standards of the academy.
Emphasising the evolving nature of modern warfare and national security challenges, she urged the graduating cadets to emerge as “Scholar Warriors” capable of combining intellectual excellence with military leadership.

She highlighted the importance of adaptability, innovation, ethical leadership, and lifelong learning in navigating an increasingly complex and technology-driven security environment.
The convocation ceremony marked a significant academic achievement for the cadets as they prepare to move forward in their journey towards becoming commissioned officers in the Indian Army, Indian Navy, and Indian Air Force.

Officials stated that the event celebrated not only academic accomplishment but also the values of leadership, character, service, and commitment that define the ethos of the National Defence Academy.
