Major General Amul Kapoor, Senior Consultant (Medicine) at the Office of the Director General Armed Forces Medical Services (DGAFMS), visited the Command Hospital Eastern Command on May 29, 2026, to review its clinical capabilities, healthcare infrastructure, and quality patient care initiatives.
During the visit, the General Officer was briefed on the hospital’s enhanced clinical facilities, upgraded infrastructure, and ongoing efforts to strengthen medical services for Armed Forces personnel and their families.
Maj Gen Kapoor toured various wards and specialised departments, where he interacted with medical professionals, nursing staff, and administrative personnel to gain first-hand insight into the hospital’s functioning and patient care systems.
He appreciated the significant improvements made in infrastructure, clinical preparedness, and healthcare delivery standards, noting the hospital’s commitment to maintaining high levels of operational and medical readiness.
Maj Gen Kapoor also commended the hospital team for their professionalism, dedication, and sustained efforts towards providing quality healthcare services.
Officials stated that Maj Gen Kapoor acknowledged the effective implementation of observations and recommendations made by the RM Trophy Assessment Team during its visit last year, which contributed to further strengthening the hospital’s overall performance and patient care ecosystem.
